Ionel is a Lachovinian Mercenary in Nicu's employment who is known for eating large quantities of machboos. He can be found at the inn in Lebez. He is uneasy about his employer and will offer his services for only 10 emeralds, should his contract be cancelled with the aid of the player.
There are a few ways to accomplish this, including blackmailing Nicu with papers detailing his illegal activities, which can be found in a closet in the inn's upper floor. His guard can be pickpocketed for the key by using the Linguist aptitude (''vrosk rife Nicu's mercenary'').
